About The Role

We are seeking a Solution Analyst specialized in Controlling and Resource-Related Billing to join our Finance team at BP Energy. In this role, you will leverage your expertise in business processes and accounting to design, develop, and optimize solutions that support our financial reporting and operational efficiency. You will play a critical part in managing and enhancing our global template products, such as SAP Global Financial Template, Finance Business Warehouse, SAP Ariba, and Salesforce, ensuring they meet the evolving needs of our business. Your contributions will support the seamless integration and implementation of SAP S / 4HANA Finance as part of BP's ERP transformation initiative, enabling us to deliver better financial insights and operational excellence across all regions.

Qualifications

The ideal candidate will possess an accountancy qualification such as CIMA, CPA, ACA, or ACCA, along with SAP certification. You should demonstrate strong presentation and interpersonal skills, with the ability to articulate complex processes clearly to both technical and non-technical audiences. Experience in gathering and analyzing business requirements, improving processes, and supporting system deployments is essential. Candidates must be capable of working effectively within virtual, distributed teams and possess excellent prioritization skills. A proactive learner with a deep understanding of SAP FICO, especially SAP CO, and experience with RRB (Resource-Related Billing) is highly desirable. Additionally, familiarity with SAP RICEFW and month-end closing processes will be advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Support the governance and continuous improvement of template solutions, ensuring compliance with design standards and facilitating design changes through appropriate forums.
• Engage with business stakeholders to understand complex processes, translating these into simplified, actionable requirements for solution investigation and development.
• Propose and design global standard solutions that align with business needs, ensuring scalability and sustainability.
• Communicate technical concepts and solutions effectively to diverse audiences, fostering understanding and collaboration.
• Contribute to the creation of functional specifications and participate in solution design activities.
• Assist in preparing and delivering training materials, solution presentations, and workshops to facilitate user adoption and team knowledge sharing.
• Participate in peer reviews, providing constructive feedback on design changes and enhancements.
• Identify, analyze, and resolve technical and functional issues, conducting root cause analysis to prevent recurrence.
• Collaborate with multi-disciplinary teams to ensure seamless integration of interfaces from external systems and support testing scenarios to validate solutions.
• Act as Solution Integration Lead on specific projects, coordinating with project teams to ensure alignment and successful delivery.
