About the Role :

We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Senior Project Manager to lead the planning, execution, and delivery of critical fintech projects. This role requires strong leadership, deep understanding of financial technology products, and excellent stakeholder management skills. You will be working closely with cross-functional teams to deliver high-impact, scalable, and compliant fintech solutions.

Key Responsibilities :

  • Lead end-to-end project delivery in the fintech domain , including mutual funds, lending, payments, or wealth management platforms.
  • Define project scope, goals, deliverables, and success criteria in collaboration with senior stakeholders.
  • Develop and maintain detailed project plans, timelines, and resource allocations.
  • Manage dependencies, risks, and issues across multiple workstreams.
  • Act as the primary point of contact for clients, product managers, developers, QA teams, and compliance.
  • Ensure adherence to regulatory and security standards (SEBI, RBI, PCI DSS, ISO 27001, etc.).
  • Lead Agile ceremonies (Scrum / Kanban) and ensure continuous improvement in delivery practices.
  • Manage project budgets, forecasts, and reporting to leadership.
  • Provide mentorship to junior project managers and contribute to process excellence.

Required Skills and Qualifications :

  • 8–12 years of project management experience, with at least 3–5 years in the fintech or financial services domain .
  • Proven track record in delivering complex tech projects involving mobile apps, APIs, payment gateways, or banking systems .
  • Strong understanding of Agile , Scrum , and Waterfall methodologies.
  • Experience in managing multi-disciplinary teams (engineering, product, QA, DevOps).
  • Familiarity with compliance frameworks relevant to financial services.
  • Excellent communication, stakeholder management, and presentation skills.
  • Proficiency with tools like JIRA , Confluence , Azure DevOps , or Asana .

    • Nice to Have :

  • PMP, PMI-ACP, or Scrum Master certification.
  • Prior experience with API-first architectures , microservices , or cloud deployments (AWS, Azure, GCP).
  • Exposure to digital lending , KYC , UPI , insurance , or mutual fund workflows.
  • Experience working with regulators or compliance audits.

    • Educational Qualifications :

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science & Engineering, Information Technology, Finance, or related field (B.E., B.Tech, B.Sc, BCA) is required.
  • MBA or Postgraduate Diploma in Management / IT is a strong plus.
  • Project management certifications such as PMP , PRINCE2 , or CSM are preferred.
