Inviting applications for the role of Assistant Vice President, Record to Report!
In this role, the incumbent should have proven expertise in Accounts Payable (AP), Accounts Receivable (AR), and Record to Report (R2R) processes. The incumbent will be responsible for leading a high-performing team, driving process excellence, ensuring compliance with financial controls, and partnering with key stakeholders to deliver continuous improvements in finance operations.
Responsibilities
Lead the R2R team in areas of General Accounting, Fixed Assets, Intercompany , Account Reconciliation. Balance month end, quarter end and year end - preparation, be responsible for smooth execution & ensure books are closed on time, groom and enable career progression while encouraging Genpact culture (CI2). Achieve / exceed retention targets.
Lead and oversee end-to-end R2R operations across multiple entities and geographies.
Ensure timely and accurate processing of transactions including reconciliations, month-end close, and financial reporting.
Lead the delivery of outsourced services F& A : R2R to ensure customer satisfaction and increased revenue through client up-sell
Collaborate and work globally with other Genpact business leaders and functional leaders to build and commercialize existing and new product offerings
Sound knowledge in the R2R aspects like Inter-co accounting, Fixed Assets accounting, Bank and balance sheet recons, Month end close aspects, Accruals, amortizations, financials submission in Fin. Reporting systems etc.
Demonstrate lean six sigma framework to drive continuous performance improvement and drive transformation agenda
Must be able to work with cross functional teams like Operations, GPO, Digital team, Transformation team, Transitions team etc.
Proactive ability to trouble shoot, work through organizational change scenarios.
Implement appropriate mechanisms to identify, understand and bring up performance gaps and / or performance breakthroughs. Develop and implement improvement plans to close performance gaps.
Collaborate in the new deal process including solutioning, pricing, due diligence, transition and stabilization
Lead transformation initiatives to enhance process efficiency and effectiveness.
Foster a culture of continuous improvement and innovation within the team.
Engage with stakeholders to understand their needs and ensure alignment with organizational goals.
Demonstrate empathy and care in managing team dynamics and individual development.
Act as the primary liaison between the finance operations team and business stakeholders, auditors, and clients.
Partner with internal teams (FP&A, Tax, Treasury, Compliance) to support strategic financial initiatives.
Drive alignment with client / global process owners on operational goals and compliance requirements.
Build and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders to ensure their needs are met and expectations are managed.
Act as a trusted advisor to stakeholders, providing insights and recommendations to drive business success.
Identify and implement opportunities for automation, digitization, and process reengineering.
Lead standardization efforts across R 2R functions, leveraging tools like SAP, Oracle, Blackline, and other ERP systems.
Champion best practices and support transitions, migrations, or new system implementations.
Champion the adoption of new technologies and methodologies to drive process improvement.
Lead cross-functional teams to implement transformation projects and ensure successful outcomes.
Ensure adherence to SOX, internal controls, and company policies.
Monitor and mitigate risks by proactively addressing audit observations and exceptions.
Proactively identify and address potential risks and challenges, ensuring compliance with all relevant regulations and standards.
Qualifications we seek in you!
Minimum Qualifications
Own end-to-end client service delivery and P&L
CA / MBA (Finance) with Record to Report experience managing large clients
Experience in finance operations with strong exposure to R2R processes with large team size of 150-200 folks
Experience in a leadership or managerial role.
Expertise in ERP systems (SAP, Oracle, etc.) and reconciliation tools (e.g., Blackline).
Strong understanding of financial controls, compliance frameworks, and audit requirements.
Excellent communication, stakeholder management, and problem-solving skills.
Experience working in a shared services or global delivery environment is preferred.
Be a key driving force in leading new / existing relationships with a set of valuable clients leading to a balanced P&L
Develop a strategy for winning and transitioning new deals while running and growing the existing relationships
Own the way in implementing new technologies in operations and display a strong executive presence
Engage in building collaborative teams that align and work to achieve Genpact and Client goals.
Excellent knowledge of ERP Applications, Workflow Tools etc.
Qualified Chartered Accountant and Graduate from top Commerce colleges.
Prior experience in the services industry in leading large teams in R2R domains.
Intellectual agility and analytical outlook
Strong analytical skills with the ability to think critically and solve complex problems.
Demonstrated ability to manage difficult situations with a calm and strategic approach
Preferred qualifications
Prior Record to Report Operations experience in the Industry with driving transformation / projects experience / Robotic implementation experience will be preferred
