Assistant Director - Center for Global Research and Internship Program (GRIP)

Job Summary

The Assistant Director will lead the Center for Global Research and Internship Program (GRIP) at SVKM'S NMIMS Mukesh Patel School Technology Management & Engineering / School of Technology Management & Engineering schools. This role is responsible for facilitating global research opportunities, internships, study abroad programs, and enhancing student competitiveness for graduate programs. The Assistant Director will work closely with the GRIP Committee, Advisory Board, and external partners to achieve the centre's objectives and report to Dean, NMIMS MPSTME, Mumbai

Key Responsibilities

  • Global Opportunities Facilitation
  • Identify and promote global research, internship, and study abroad opportunities for students
  • Assist students with application processes and provide guidance on cultural adjustments
  • Organize workshops and info sessions on global opportunities and graduate school applications
  • Partnership Building
  • Establish and maintain partnerships with international universities, research institutes, corporations, and organizations
  • Collaborate with partners to secure research, internship, and study abroad placements for students
  • Student Support
  • Provide personalized guidance to students on global opportunities and graduate school applications
  • Manage scholarships and financial aid for student participation in global programs
  • Connect students with alumni and professionals for mentorship and guidance
  • Networking and Outreach
  • Build and engage a global network of alumni, experts, faculty, and industry leaders
  • Promote the GRIP Center and its initiatives both internally and externally
  • Maintain a database of global opportunities and alumni contacts

Qualifications

  • Master's degree in any field
  • 3+ years of experience in international education, study abroad, or a related field
  • Knowledge of global higher education systems and research practices
  • Excellent cross-cultural communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to build and maintain partnerships with international institutions and organizations
  • Proficiency in a second language preferred
