Job description

Location : HO / Matoda,

Department : Procurement & Supply Chain

Reporting To : Head of Operations / Director.

Budget : upto 10 LPA.

Key Responsibilities :

  • Develop and implement procurement strategies aligned with organizational goals.
  • Handle end-to-end machinery purchase (equipment, spare parts, attachments, consumables).
  • Manage fabrication purchase (steel structures, tanks, frames, custom-fabricated parts).
  • Possess strong technical knowledge of bought items to evaluate quotations both technically and commercially.
  • Source, evaluate, negotiate, and finalize suppliers ensuring quality and cost competitiveness.
  • Build and maintain reliable vendor networks; conduct supplier audits and performance reviews.
  • Ensure compliance with company policies, industry standards, and legal requirements.
  • Control procurement budget and identify cost-saving opportunities.
  • Oversee imports, logistics, and timely delivery of equipment and fabricated parts.
  • Maintain procurement records, contracts, and MIS reports.

Key Skills & Competencies :

  • In-depth knowledge of bought items (machinery, spare parts, fabrication materials, consumables).
  • Strong vendor management, sourcing, and negotiation skills.
  • Ability to read and understand technical drawings / specifications.
  • Familiarity with supply chain processes, inventory control, and logistics.
  • Cost-conscious, analytical, and problem-solving mindset.
  • Proficiency in ERP systems (SAP / Oracle / Tally) and MS Office.
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills.

    • Qualifications & Experience :

  • Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering / Supply Chain Management / Business Administration.
  • Preferred : MBA in Supply Chain or Materials Management.
  • 10–15 years of procurement experience in heavy machinery and fabrication purchase.
  • Demonstrated expertise in understanding and sourcing technical / engineering items.
