Menswear Category Manager

Job descriptionBachelor’s degree in Fashion, Business, or related field. MBA preferred. 1-5 years of experience in buying or merchandising, preferably in menswear. Strong analytical skills and proficiency in Excel and merchandising tools. Excellent negotiation, communication, and vendor management skills. Passion for fashion and understanding of the Indian retail landscape.
Key Responsibilities :
- Develop and execute seasonal buying plans for men's apparel across categories (casual wear, formal wear, ethnic wear, etc.)
- Analyze sales data, market trends, and customer feedback to make informed buying decisions.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with vendors, suppliers, and brand partners.
- Negotiate pricing, margins, and delivery timelines to ensure optimal profitability.
- Collaborate with design, planning, and marketing teams to align product assortment with brand strategy.
- Monitor inventory levels and manage OTB (Open-to-Buy) budgets effectively.
- Conduct regular store visits and competitor analysis to stay updated on market dynamics.
- Ensure timely product launches and availability across channels (offline and online).
