Role Overview

  • Position : Writing Expert — Prompt & Golden Answer Authoring for AI Research – Contract, Remote
  • Commitment : 20+ hours / week, Duration : 2 weeks with potential for additional tasks
  • Contribute to a high-impact AI research project by authoring prompt–golden answer pairs. Ideal for professionals with strong academic backgrounds and instructional clarity.

Responsibilities

  • Review provided PDFs and select appropriate content for prompt–answer generation.
  • Write clear, accurate, and insightful golden answers aligned with project guidelines.
  • Use Markdown for formatting; LaTeX preferred for technical content.
  • Ensure all examples are original, relevant, and grounded in the source material.
  • Collaborate asynchronously with Mercor's support team for questions or feedback.

    • Requirements / Qualifications

    Must-Have Qualifications

  • Advanced degree (Master's or PhD preferred) in humanities, education, STEM, or related fields.
  • Strong writing skills and attention to detail across disciplines.
  • Familiarity with Markdown (required) and LaTeX (preferred).
  • Demonstrated ability to understand and summarize complex content.

    • Preferred Qualifications

  • Prior experience in prompt writing, technical editing, or curriculum design is a plus.

    • Engagement Details

  • $45 / hour
  • Classified as an independent contractor
  • Payments processed weekly via Stripe Connect
  • Remote and asynchronous — work on your own schedule
