Role Description
The Sales Consultant will be responsible for promoting and selling our portfolio of technology-driven and professional certification programs to individual learners and corporate clients. The role requires a strong understanding of the EdTech ecosystem, excellent communication skills, and a track record of achieving sales targets in the training or education sector.
Key Responsibilities
- Identify, engage, and convert leads into enrollments for technology and professional courses such as Data Science, Cyber Security, Agile, AI, and Cloud Computing.
- Conduct consultations with prospective learners to understand their goals and recommend the most suitable programs.
- Manage the entire sales cycle — from lead generation, follow-up, and counseling to closing.
- Maintain CRM records accurately and provide regular sales reports and forecasts.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with individual learners and corporate clients.
- Collaborate with the marketing team to execute campaigns, webinars, and lead-generation initiatives.
- Stay updated with emerging trends in EdTech, course offerings, and competitive landscape.
- Achieve monthly and quarterly revenue targets consistently.
- Represent Blue Ocean professionally in all interactions, ensuring the highest level of customer satisfaction.
Required Skills & Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, or any relevant field (MBA preferred).Minimum 5 years of experience in sales, preferably in the EdTech or training industry.Proven success in selling technology or certification-based programs.Excellent communication, presentation, and negotiation skills.Strong consultative selling approach with focus on understanding learner needs.Hands-on experience with CRM systems( Zoho, Salesforce).Self-motivated, target-oriented, and capable of working independently.Mandatory
Prior experience selling B2C or B2B training solutions in domains such as Data Science, Cyber Security, or Agile.Familiarity with international certification bodies (e.g., Scrum Alliance, CompTIA, SAFe).Understanding of digital marketing funnels, lead nurturing, and conversion optimization.Key Performance Indicators (KPIs)
Monthly and quarterly revenue targets achieved.Conversion rate of leads to enrollments.Number of new learner accounts and corporate clients onboarded.Client satisfaction and retention rate.Accurate CRM management and reporting.Skills Required
