Currently House of Shipping is looking to identify a high caliber Assistant - Technical Superintendent.

This position is an on-site position for Chennai.

Background and experience :

• 4 years of experience in the marine industry, preferably as :
• Technical capacity in the marine field
• Familiarity with maritime regulations, technical ship operations, and purchasing processes.
• Working knowledge of planned maintenance systems (PMS), certification standards, and marine repair cycles.
• Good sense of responsibility and self-motivation
• Good command of the English language
• Knowledge about purchasing and budget cost control.

Job purpose :

The Assistant Technical Superintendent supports the Technical department in managing the day-to-day technical operations of assigned vessels. This includes monitoring vessel performance, supporting planned maintenance, contributing to repair / drydocking planning, and ensuring compliance with the Company’s Safety Management System and maritime regulations. The role serves as a learning and support function, preparing the incumbent for more senior technical management roles.

Education requirements :
