Job Summary :

Seeking an NIFT Graduate the Fabric Sourcing & Fashion Coordinator at The House Of Brands (THOB) plays a pivotal role in bridging the creative vision of our design team with the practicalities of production. This position is responsible for sourcing highquality fabrics and materials that align with our brands aesthetic and quality standards. The role involves collaborating closely with designers to ensure material choices enhance the overall design managing relationships with suppliers and overseeing the quality control of garments from initial production to final output. This position is ideal for a passionate and detailoriented individual with a deep understanding of fabrics strong negotiation skills and a keen eye for fashion trends.

Key Responsibilities :

Fabric Sourcing :

  • Identify source and evaluate a wide variety of fabrics and materials aligned with our design needs.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with fabric suppliers and vendors to ensure a steady flow of highquality materials.
  • Assess fabrics based on quality price and suitability for various collections.

Design Coordination :

  • Collaborate closely with the design team to understand and meet fabric requirements for different collections.
  • Coordinate with production teams and factories to ensure timely delivery and alignment of materials with the design vision.
  • Ensure that selected fabrics meet design aesthetics and quality standards.

    • Quality Control :

  • Oversee the garment production process focusing on fabric quality stitching and overall construction.
  • Conduct regular quality checks on finished products to uphold THOBs high standards.
  • Address and resolve any issues related to fabric quality or garment construction promptly.

    • Vendor Management :

  • Communicate and negotiate with vendors to secure the best prices and terms for materials.
  • Develop and sustain strong relationships with key vendors and suppliers.
  • Manage and resolve any disputes or issues with vendors professionally.

    • Fashion Enthusiast :

  • Stay informed about the latest fashion trends and industry developments.
  • Provide insights and suggestions to the design team based on market trends and consumer preferences.
  • Contribute creatively during brainstorming sessions to generate innovative design ideas.

    • Requirements :

  • A degree from the National Institute of Fashion Technology (NIFT) or a similar institution.
  • Extensive knowledge of various fabrics materials and sourcing practices.
  • Proven experience in fabric sourcing vendor management and quality control.
  • Strong understanding of garment construction and production processes.
  • Excellent communication negotiation and collaborative skills.
  • Passion for fashion with a keen eye for detail.
  • Proficiency in design software and tools is an added advantage.
