Primary Skills

Experienced with MySQL Enterprise Versions Products and should have performed MySQL Upgrades & applied patched

Hands-on experience on migration from MySQL to Maria and vice-versa.

Configuring & troubleshooting of MySQL Enterprise Monitor (MEM), Oracle Enterprise Monitor (OEM)

Strong hold on MySQL Enterprise backups & logical backups (mysqldump / mysqlpump)

InnoDB Cluster & Master-Slave replication configurations & troubleshooting, MySQL Enterprise Audit, Encryption & keyring

Open source HA tools like keepalived / tungstun

Collaborate with team to develop high performance database functionalities; should be able to resolve MySQL Performance Issues

Extensive exposure to public cloud (AWS / Azure) to provide solutions and troubleshoot issues

Secondary Skills

Knowledge of MariaDB & NoSQL database will be an added advantage

Good understanding of data management (e.g. permissions, recovery, security and monitoring)

Ensure all database programs meet organization & performance requirements

User management, space management & shell scripting

Close coordination & planning with Client & Project sub-teams

Good communication skills to work with foreign clients
