Reporting to Project Head / Platform Head

Required

Qualification

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Mechanical / Automobile / Aerospace Engineering or a

related field.

  • Minimum 15+ years of experience in combat vehicle running gear and its components

    • design and development, preferably in the defense or military vehicle sector.

  • In-depth knowledge of NATO STANAG 4569 standards
  • Experienced combat vehicle suspension system design
  • Proficiency in CAD tools (e.g., CATIA, UG Nx SolidWorks) and simulation software (e.g.,

    • LS-DYNA, Abaqus, Hyper Mesh)..

  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and project management skills.
  • Ability to obtain and maintain necessary security clearance (if required).

  • Publications or patents in the field of combat vehicle suspension system design

    • Job Summary We are seeking a highly experienced and technically proficient Subject Matter Expert (SME)

    in Combat Vehicle Running Gear / suspension system Design to lead and support the

    development of advanced mobility systems for tracked and wheeled military platforms. The

    ideal candidate will possess deep domain expertise in suspension systems, track assemblies,

    road wheels, torsion bars, shock absorbers, and related subsystems, with a proven track

    record in defense or heavy vehicle industries.

    Key

    Responsibilities

  • Lead the design and development of running gear systems for combat vehicles, ensuring

    • optimal performance, durability, and survivability in extreme environments.

  • Provide technical guidance across concept development, detailed design, prototyping,

    • testing, and production phases.

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams including structural, propulsion, and control

    • systems engineers to integrate running gear seamlessly into vehicle architecture.

  • Define and validate system requirements, performance metrics, and compliance with

    • military standards (e.g., MIL-STD, STANAG).

  • Conduct failure mode analysis, root cause investigations, and implement design

    • improvements.

  • Mentor junior engineers and contribute to knowledge transfer within the organization.
  • Interface with clients, defense agencies, and OEMs to align design goals with operational

    • needs.

  • Stay abreast of emerging technologies in mobility systems, materials, and manufacturing

    • processes.
