Key Responsibilities :

  • Manage, configure, and optimize Postgres and Aurora databases on AWS
  • Implement and monitor database performance tuning, indexing, and partitioning
  • Handle backup, restore, high availability, and disaster recovery (PITR, replication)
  • Collaborate with application teams for schema design and query optimization
  • Ensure database security, user management, and access control policies
  • Troubleshoot and resolve production database issues efficiently

Required Skills & Qualifications :

  • 3+ years of hands-on experience with PostgreSQL and SQL
  • Strong experience with Aurora PostgreSQL and AWS RDS
  • Expertise in database performance tuning, indexing, and query optimization
  • Knowledge of backup / restore strategies and replication
  • Understanding of cloud environments and database monitoring tools

    • Preferred Skills :

  • Familiarity with NoSQL databases and data migration strategies
  • Experience with automation tools (Terraform, Ansible, etc.)
  • Exposure to DevOps / CI-CD practices
  • Knowledge of security best practices in AWS
