- In alignment with GROUP COE strategy and goals, lead and drive Total Quality Management implementation across functions of Biocon Group companies as part of John Shaw Excellence Model (JSEM) deployment
- To partner and drive TQM implementation as part of Enterprise Excellence Roadmap of Biocon Group Center of Excellence
Role / Job Description
Drive the Excellence program in functions to achieve business results across function through TQM implementation and achieve best-in-class performance (EHS, People, Quality, Cost, Customer / Delivery, Productivity) :Understand Strategy Management & Annual Operating Plan process and drive implementation in the responsible functionsDefine and implement Daily Work Management across business processes through KPIs w.r.t to the role requirements.Conduct Workshops and guide KPI owners to diagnose and arrive at right lead indicatorsUnderstand processes (QMS) governing each function and guide leaders towards maturing the quality of KPIs & Lead indicators measurement (PDCA & SDCA Cycle)Ability to assess maturity level of DWM permeation in the function by connecting to Mission and long-term goals of the functionTrain people on practicing Daily Work Management covering both technical and professional skills required for execution.Work with Functional SPOCs on TQM Consultants feedback for maturity improvementDevelop and drive the Excellence initiatives towards achieving the assigned targetsDefine and implement the relevant education program, working with function / HODs to improve people capability on Excellence initiativesChampion and lead key process-improvement projects in functions to demonstrate and pilot excellence initiatives part of Continual Improvement.Effectively support and coach functions in their Excellence journey, including TQM Maturity, Problem solving, John Shaw Excellence Assessments, and other efficiency improvementInteract with other GROUP COE divisions and OE Ambassadors across the Biocon Group for experience and best-practices sharingBACKGROUND AND EXPERIENCE REQUIRED
M.Sc. / M.Tech / MBA or equivalentMin. 15 years industrial experience, with at least 10 years of experience in TQM / Business Excellence initiatives at Organization levelExperience must include the successful deployment of Business excellence frameworks such as TQM / Malcolm Baldridge / EFQM / Equivalent.Project management skills, Lean six-sigma (LSS) black belt certification, ability to drive cultural change required.Experience in Policy Management and Daily Work Management principlesTechnical / Functional Skills
