As a Strategic Sourcing Manager in Strategic Sourcing & Procurement (SS&P), you’ll lead a team of professionals that support strategic sourcing value delivery. Working with SS&P and business leadership, your team will execute in-country and US-based strategic sourcing events and category analyses. You will bring expertise in strategic sourcing and analytics to lead and develop your team across the full source-to-contract lifecycle, with an initial focus on building a proactive Technology renewal program. You will communicate with multiple levels in the organization to foster internal and external relationships and enhance the brand of SS&P.
Role Description
- Provide guidance and thought leadership to your team of strategic sourcing professionals and category analysts to support their ability to drive savings and value delivery
- Create and lead a proactive renewal program, starting with Technology, that maximizes cost savings opportunities and provides the business with the flexibility to change solutions as need
- Lead sourcing projects, including building successful sourcing strategies, driving strategic improvements, and delivering on operational targets, savings goals, and business strategies
- Conduct total cost modeling and sensitivity / scenario analysis to help team members understand trade-offs and benefits to multiple outcomes
- Help with the analysis and planning for multiple components of indirect spend categories to ensure operational success and results
- Use sourcing tools to support departmental efforts to refine and improve procurement processes and policies
- Develop and manage relationships with SS&P team members and business stakeholders
- Ensure timely communication of the status of sourcing projects and category analyses to key stakeholders
- Partner with multiple corporate functions (e.G., Financial Planning & Analysis, Accounting, Legal) as part of your sourcing projects and related activities
- Review, revise, and negotiate contract language
- You will take ownership of projects and bring them to completion understanding that the results will have an impact on the department's goals
Key Qualifications
Bachelor / Masters degree in supply chain management, engineering, or business8+ years of experience in Strategic Sourcing with experience in Technology, including Technology renewals, with a minimum of 3 years of leadership experienceDemonstrated capabilities of leading sourcing projects, contract authoring and negotiations, category analysis and driving savings / valueStrong relationship-building, verbal and written communication, interpersonal, motivational, and influencing skills;coordination across related disciplines and with key stakeholders
Experience coordinating teams, collecting insights, and constructively challenging team members with conventional thinkingUnderstanding of multi-step strategic sourcing processes, sourcing tools, and strategiesKnowledge of procurement category analyses, including benchmarkingPreferred Qualifications (nice to haves) :
