ROLE SUMMARY
The Business Finance – FP&A (International Business) role acts as the
financial partner
to the International Business unit, supporting strategic decision-making through financial planning, analysis, forecasting, MIS reporting, pricing support, and performance management across global markets.
The role requires strong analytical skills, commercial finance understanding, multi-country exposure, and the ability to work closely with Sales, Supply Chain, FP&A, Treasury, Taxation, and Senior Leadership.
1. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
A. Financial Planning & Analysis
Lead
Annual Operating Plan (AOP) ,
Budgeting ,
Quarterly Outlook , and
Monthly Forecasting
for International Business.
Prepare
P&L, Revenue, Gross Margin, Opex
and
Cash Flow
forecasts across markets.
Analyse variances (Actual vs Budget vs Forecast) and highlight key business drivers.
Consolidate market-level financials (ASEAN, MEA, LATAM, RCIS etc.) into regional dashboards and management packs.
B. Business Partnering & Commercial Finance
Work closely with
Country Heads, Sales Directors, Marketing, Supply Chain, Regulatory, and Operations
to support business decisions.
Evaluate
new product launches, pricing proposals, distributor margins , and
trade schemes .
Conduct
scenario modelling , profitability analysis, and
ROI assessment
for commercial initiatives.
Provide financial inputs for
market expansion , new distributors, and strategic partnerships.
C. Management Reporting (MIS)
Prepare monthly
Business Review decks
(MRM / Ex Comm / BRM), Executive / CEO dashboards, region-wise performance scorecards.
Track
Sales, Gross Contribution, Net Contribution , Opex, and throughput.
Monitor
SKU-wise, country-wise, cluster-wise performance
and highlight risks & opportunities.
Maintain
accurate and timely MIS
aligned with corporate reporting timelines.
D. Pricing, Margin & Trade Terms Governance
Evaluate pricing proposals and ensure alignment to
global pricing strategy .
Analyse
margin structures , landed cost, freight impact, distributor discounts, and commercial terms.
Ensure compliance with internal pricing approval SOPs.
Monitor impact of
currency fluctuations , SAP price changes, and regulatory requirements on profitability.
E. Demand Planning & Supply Chain Finance Support
Support demand planning through
sales run-rate analysis , forecast accuracy review, and SKU mix analysis.
Review inventory levels, ageing, slow-moving stock, and
propose liquidation strategies .
Analyse OTIF (On-Time In-Full), supply chain inefficiencies, and cost-to-serve.
F. Governance, Compliance & Controls
Ensure compliance with internal controls, audit requirements, and group financial policies.
Monitor distributor agreements, credit terms, and financial covenants.
Support external and internal audits related to International Business.
Strengthen governance on rebates, discounts, credit notes, and trade spending.
G. Strategic Projects
Support transformation initiatives :
Digitisation & BI Dashboards (Power BI / Tableau / Replit dashboards)
Margin improvement programs
Route-to-market optimisation
Working capital improvement & cash cycle optimization
2. SKILLS & COMPETENCIES REQUIRED
Technical Skills
Strong command over
FP&A, P&L management , financial modelling, pricing.
Expert in
Excel, PowerPoint , financial modelling, and MIS automation.
Working knowledge of
SAP / Oracle / Power BI / Tableau / Advanced Excel .
Understanding of
international taxation concepts , forex impact, transfer pricing (preferred).
Solid understanding of supply chain cost structures (freight, duties, logistics charges).
Behavioural Competencies
Strong business partnering & stakeholder management.
Analytical thinking with problem-solving ability.
Ability to present insights to senior leadership.
High ownership, speed, and accuracy.
Ability to work in
multi-country, multi-time-zone environments .
3. EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS
3–6 years
of experience in
Business Finance / FP&A / Commercial Finance .
International business exposure (Asia, LATAM, MEA, RCIS) strongly preferred.
Experience in
Pharma, FMCG, Consumer Healthcare, or Manufacturing .
Experience working with distributors and export markets is preferred.
4. QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS
CA / MBA Finance .
Strong academic and financial fundamentals.
Additional certifications in analytics / BI tools are an advantage.
