YouTube Video Editor

Position Overview :

As a YouTube Video Editor with 3-5 years of experience, you will be responsible for bringing our Short form Content (i.e Youtube Shorts) and other series to life through expert video editing and post-production tasks You will collaborate closely with our YouTube Content Creators, and other members of the Creative Team to ensure that our video content aligns with your brand identity and engage your audience effectively.

Key Responsibilities :

Edit podcast episodes to create engaging and visually appealing Short form videos for YouTube. This includes cutting and arranging footage, adding transitions, graphics, and effects, and ensuring a seamless and polished final product.
Enhance audio quality by cleaning up background noise, ensuring consistent volume levels, and adding appropriate music and sound effects to elevate the overall listening experience.
Utilise your experience to strategically select the best moments from podcast conversations, ensuring that the final Short video maintains a compelling and coherent narrative flow.
Create and integrate on-screen graphics, lower thirds, and visual elements that complement the content and enhance viewer understanding.
Apply color correction and grading techniques to achieve consistent and visually appealing aesthetics throughout the video.
Work closely with the Content Creators and YouTube managers to understand their vision and preferences, incorporating feedback to achieve the desired outcome.
Manage and organize project files, ensuring efficient workflows and smooth collaboration among team members.
Stay up-to-date with industry trends, new editing techniques, and emerging technologies to continuously improve the quality and innovation of our video content.

Qualifications & Requirements :

3-5 years of professional video editing experience, with a strong portfolio showcasing your expertise in editing podcast content or similar long-form media. Has to have worked for a Youtube Creator.

Proficient in video editing software such as Adobe Premiere Pro, Final Cut Pro, or equivalent tools. Familiarity with Adobe After Effects and Audition is a plus.

A keen sense of visual storytelling, attention to detail, and the ability to transform raw footage into compelling narratives.

Strong understanding of video and audio codecs, aspect ratios, resolution, and other technical aspects of video production for online platforms.

Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work within a team and incorporate feedback effectively.

Proven ability to meet deadlines and manage multiple projects simultaneously while maintaining quality standards.

Able to adapt to evolving project requirements and feedback from stakeholders
