Experience Required :

Minimum of 5 years of experience in teaching / research / industry

Qualifying Criteria as per AICTE – Assistant Professor

A) A full time

Master’s in Business Administration – Operations Management with 60% marks from an Indian University, or an equivalent degree from an accredited foreign university.

B) Besides fulfilling the above qualifications, the candidate must have cleared the National

Eligibility Test (NET) conducted by the UGC or the CSIR, or a similar test accredited by the

UGC, like SLET / SET.

OR

B) A candidate with a Ph.D. Degree in accordance with the University Grants Commission will be an added advantage.

AND

C) Minimum 4 Publications in peer-reviewed or UGC-listed journals

D) Published work may include books, Research Periodical, Consultancy projects, and a patent

filed.

Articles published in Journals / Book Chapters indexed in the below mentioned databases should

be considered :

Ph.D. degree in the relevant field and Master’s Business Administration – Operations Management with 60% marks from an Indian University, or an equivalent degree from an accredited foreign university.

At least total 6 research publications in SCI journals / UGC / AICTE approved list of journals.

Articles published in Journals / Book Chapters indexed in the below mentioned databases should be considered :

Minimum of 8 years of experience in teaching / research / industry out of which at least 2 years shall be Post Ph.D. experience.

Job Responsibilities :

Teaching & Student Development :

Conduct classes as per schedule and focus on student mentoring

Enhance the academic performance of students

Prepare question papers & evaluate answer scripts within the stipulated time

Address student grievances as per the guidance of the senior authorities, manage student welfare

activities and be a patron figure at student events

Motivate the students to participate in various internal / external events, research works, seminars etc.

Participate in student enrollment processes

Mentor students during their SIP, Dissertation, Boardroom Simulation Activity

Participate actively in the enrolment & placement activities of the institution

Manage annual events of the institute, such as Induction and Convocation.

Curriculum Development

Develop the program curriculum in association with Knowledge Cell based on market requirements under

supervision of the Principal

Industry, academia and alumni liaison and research for curriculum

Incorporate practice-based elements, field work / live projects into the curriculum

Take inputs from these advisory bodies and incorporate that in course development

Research & Publication

Develop a research culture; to do research and publish in reputed journals

Demonstrate a high degree of research proficiency and be accountable for writing and publishing

articles both domestically and globally.

Networking & presenting research at conferences to enhance visibility in the academic community

Staying updated in their field and collaborate with established researchers for institutional growth

MDP / FDP / Conferences etc.

Able to collaborate with industry for consulting assignments.

Should organize requisite number of MDPs & FDPs with international & domestic universities. Should

consult with large domestic or international companies [as per NBA criteria]

Participate in annual Globsyn Management Conference (GMC) & Annual Vision Seminar. Ensure

national / international participation.

Should take consulting projects from large domes

Participate in external professional forums, seminars, conferences etc. and speak in various forum

Industry Connect

Add value to GBS Student Industry visits

Enhance GBS brand through representation on industry forums

Participate actively in industry meets etc on behalf of GBS

Connect with Alumni for various activities of the institute

Extra-curricular & Institutional Building Activities

Inculcate extra-curricular elements and help to develop well-rounded students

Encourage and motivate students through various experiential learning beyond classroom
