Job description

A US / Canadian based IT MNC is hiring for Lead Data Stage Developer for one of their Banking client.

Work Location : Remote

Shift Timing : 2 : 30 PM to 11 : 30 PM.

We are seeking an experienced Senior IBM DataStage 11 Developer  with strong expertise in building and optimizing ETL solutions. The ideal candidate will also bring banking domain experience, working on large-scale financial data processing, regulatory reporting, and risk / compliance-related projects. This role requires collaboration with business analysts, data architects, and other stakeholders to deliver scalable, high-performing solutions.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design, develop, and maintain ETL processes using IBM DataStage 11
  • Work on banking / financial data integration projects  involving payments, loans, credit, and regulatory data.
  • Optimize and tune DataStage jobs for performance and scalability.
  • Collaborate with data architects to define integration strategies and best practices.
  • Work with business analysts to gather and analyze requirements.
  • Develop reusable components, frameworks, and accelerators.
  • Ensure high-quality deliverables through code reviews, unit testing, and documentation.
  • Troubleshoot production issues and provide timely resolutions.
  • Mentor junior developers and provide technical guidance.

Required Skills & Experience

  • 10+ years of ETL development  experience with at least 4+ years in IBM DataStage 11 .
  • Strong knowledge of banking / financial domain processes  (payments, compliance, risk, regulatory reporting, customer data management).
  • In-depth understanding of ETL methodologies, data warehousing concepts, and dimensional modeling .
  • Hands-on experience with parallel jobs, server jobs, sequencers, and complex transformations  in DataStage.
  • Proficiency in SQL  and experience with multiple relational databases (DB2, Oracle, SQL Server, Teradata, etc.).
  • Strong knowledge of UNIX / Linux scripting  and job scheduling tools.
  • Experience with performance tuning  and large-scale data processing.
  • Familiarity with version control, CI / CD, and DevOps practices .
  • Excellent communication and problem-solving skills.

    • Nice to Have

  • Experience with cloud platforms  (AWS, Azure, or GCP) and cloud-based data integration .
  • Knowledge of big data technologies  (Hadoop, Spark).
  • Exposure to Data Governance and Data Quality tools .

    • Education

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field (or equivalent work experience).
