Data Engineer - Snowflake DBT - CREQ Description We are seeking a highly skilled Snowflake Data Engineer to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience with Snowflake and a strong background in SQL, Python scripting, and ETL tools such as DBT. The role involves developing and optimizing data pipelines, ensuring data quality, and collaborating with global teams to support data-driven Development : Write and optimize complex SQL queries against Snowflake to support data extraction, transformation, and loading (ETL) processes.

Scripting : Develop and maintain scripts using Unix, Python, and other relevant languages to automate data workflows.

Snowflake Utilities : Utilize Snowflake utilities such as SnowSQL, SnowPipe, Tasks, Streams, Time Travel, and Optimizer to manage and manipulate data.

Data Pipeline Management : Design, build, and maintain scalable and efficient data pipelines.

Data Quality and Governance : Ensure data integrity, consistency, and quality across all data pipelines.

Problem Solving : Analyze and resolve complex data issues, employing a continuous improvement approach.

Collaboration : Work effectively within a global team environment, collaborating with cross-functional teams to meet project goals.

Agile Methodology : Participate in Agile delivery processes, contributing to sprint planning, reviews, and retrospectives.

Documentation : Maintain comprehensive documentation for data processes, workflows, and system configurations.Develop and maintain data models and artifacts such as entity relationship diagrams logical models, and star schemas.Bachelors degree in Computer Science Information Technology or a related fieldMinimum of five to nine years of experience in data engineering, with a strong focus on Snowflake.Proficiency in Snowflake and SQL.

Strong Python scripting skills.

Experience with Snowflake utilities (SnowSQL, SnowPipe, Tasks, Streams, Time Travel, Optimizer

Familiarity with DBT (Data Build Tool) for ETL processes.

Knowledge of other SQL databases and data modeling techniques.Excellent analytical and problem-solving communication and documentation skills.

Experience with Agile delivery processes.Ability to work effectively in a global team environment.Experience with metadata management and data sharing.

Familiarity with advanced SQL and optimization techniques.

Understanding of data governance and best practices in data management.

Experience with other scripting languages and automation tools.
