🔷 ROLE DESCRIPTION
As the Senior Manager – Finance & Accounts , you will lead the transformation of finance from a control function to a strategic value driver. You will oversee planning, controllership, treasury, and analytics, ensuring financial foresight and rigor at every level.
This role is ideal for someone who can translate numbers into strategy, guide leadership decisions, strengthen governance, and shape the company’s growth story.
The role reports directly to the CFO.
🎯 KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Financial Operations & Accounting Excellence
- Lead day-to-day accounting operations : GL, AR-AP, reconciliations, accruals, and month-end closure.
- Ensure accuracy and timeliness of financial statements in compliance with Ind-AS and company policies.
- Manage statutory filings (GST, TDS, PF, ROC, etc.) and coordinate with external auditors for quarterly and annual audits.
- Oversee fixed assets accounting, depreciation, and capitalization tracking.
Financial Planning, Analysis & Insight
Lead monthly reviews, annual budgets, and quarterly reforecasts.Prepare management reports with variance analysis, category / channel P&Ls, and margin insights (CM1 to PAT).Track performance metrics across cost centres, highlighting risks and opportunities to improve profitability and cash flow.Support pricing, discounting, and spend analyses to ensure each rupee invested delivers measurable return.Governance, Control & Compliance
Strengthen internal control systems, implement maker-checker mechanisms, approval workflows, and policy adherence.Build risk frameworks for vendor payments, cash handling, and expense reimbursement.Own documentation integrity and audit readiness across all entities.Drive ERP hygiene and accounting automation to reduce manual intervention and improve traceability.Cashflow, Treasury & Working Capital
Track and project daily cash positions, vendor dues, receivables, and payables.Drive working capital optimization (DSO, DPO, inventory cycle).Coordinate with banks for payments, facilities, and reconciliations.Assist in forecasting funding requirements for growth or expansion initiatives.Process Improvement & Systems Thinking
Identify process inefficiencies and lead automation initiatives within accounting, reporting, and compliance workflows.Partner with tech and operations teams to integrate financial data across ERP, marketplaces, and BI dashboards.Build SOPs for financial accuracy and repeatability across departments.Cross-Functional Business Partnering
Collaborate with department heads (Channel Heads, Marketing, Product, Operations) to align spend with ROI and financial discipline.Support sourcing and merchandising in cost control and vendor governance.Help drive a culture of fiscal responsibility and transparency across the company.Leadership & Growth
Manage and mentor a small team of finance executives / analysts.Cultivate analytical and operational excellence within the team.Serve as a bridge between day-to-day finance operations and strategic business decisions.✅ KEY QUALIFICATIONS
Chartered Accountant (CA) with 6-10 years of experience in Finance & Accounts; apparel and fashion retail , across online and offline, is strongly preferred.Strong command of Ind-AS, GST, TDS, and statutory compliance ; proven track record in audits and financial reporting.Hands-on expertise in accounting operations , FP&A support, and working capital management.Proficiency with ERP / accounting systems ( Tally , NetSuite, SAP) and advanced Excel ; experience with BI tools is a plus.Analytical thinker with the ability to translate financial data into business insights .High ownership, accuracy, and integrity; thrives in fast-paced, growth-stage environments .Leadership mindset : capable of mentoring teams and collaborating cross-functionally.🚀 WHY JOIN US
