Description : About the Role :
We are seeking an experienced Senior Bluetooth Developer to lead the design and optimization of Bluetooth drivers and Android protocol stacks.
You will be responsible for ensuring system-level performance, compatibility, and power efficiency across multiple platforms and devices.
Key Responsibilities :
- Lead development of Bluetooth drivers, middleware, and stack integration within Android.
- Architect and optimize BT subsystems for performance, power consumption, and reliability.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams (Hardware, Kernel, Framework) to ensure smooth BT integration.
- Guide the team in debugging complex issues across BT layers (HAL, stack, firmware).
- Manage Bluetooth certification and qualification (BQB / SIG) process for products.
- Evaluate and integrate new Bluetooth features and profiles from emerging specifications (e.g., LE Audio).
- Drive technical reviews, design discussions, and continuous improvement initiatives.
- Mentor junior engineers and ensure adherence to coding and testing best practices.
Technical Skills :
Deep understanding of Bluetooth architecture, Android BT stack (Fluoride), and protocol layers (L2CAP, RFCOMM, SDP, GATT, etc.Strong coding expertise in C / C++, with hands-on experience in Linux kernel and Android HAL development.Experience working with Bluetooth chipsets (Qualcomm, Broadcom, MediaTek) and debugging BT firmware issues.Skilled in low-level debugging, log analysis, and performance profiling tools (Wireshark, GDB, adb, logcat).Proven experience in BT power optimization, audio streaming (A2DP / AVRCP), and BLE application development.Knowledge of Android system bring-up, BSP integration, and kernel customization.Preferred Qualifications :
Bachelors or Masters degree in Computer Science.Prior experience in leading Bluetooth feature design and system-level integration.Familiarity with Android certification and compliance processes.Strong communication and leadership skills for cross-functional collaboration(ref : hirist.tech)
