Role Overview
The Broadcom Scheduling Automation Specialist will be responsible for designing, configuring, implementing, and maintaining enterprise-level workload automation using Broadcom AutoSys and related scheduling tools. The role focuses on optimizing batch processes, improving system reliability, and ensuring adherence to critical business SLAs.
Key Responsibilities
Configure, deploy, and maintain Broadcom AutoSys / CA Workload Automation environments
Design and implement batch jobs, workflows, calendars, and scheduling logic
Create job dependencies, automation workflows, and notification rules
Perform job failure analysis, root-cause identification, and timely resolution
Handle Incident, Change, and Problem Management activities
Migrate jobs across Development, UAT, and Production environments
Prepare detailed technical documentation for scheduling and automation processes
Collaborate with cross-functional teams (Infrastructure, Application, Cloud, Database)
Optimize system performance and support capacity planning
Support continuous improvement initiatives in automation and scheduling
Required Technical Skills
Core Skills
Broadcom AutoSys / CA Workload Automation (WCC, AE, EEM)
JIL Scripting for AutoSys
Shell / Bash scripting
Python / Perl / PowerShell scripting
Strong understanding of enterprise batch scheduling concepts
Linux / Unix and Windows server environments
SQL queries (Oracle, SQL Server, MySQL)
File transfer protocols (SFTP, FTP, FTPS)
Job monitoring, troubleshooting, and log analysis
Additional Skills (Good to Have)
Cloud platforms : AWS / Azure / GCP
API-based automation
CI / CD tools (Jenkins, GitLab, Azure DevOps)
Monitoring tools : Splunk, Dynatrace, Grafana, Kibana
Understanding of ITIL processes
