Job Description :

We are looking for a skilled

Manual Tester

with strong expertise in

Linux

and

Shell scripting

to join our dynamic QA team in Pune. The ideal candidate will be responsible for ensuring the quality and reliability of applications through comprehensive manual testing and automation support using shell scripts.

Key Responsibilities :

Design, develop, and execute detailed manual test cases and test scenarios based on functional and technical requirements.

Perform system, integration, regression, and user acceptance testing.

Identify, document, and track software defects using standard defect tracking tools.

Collaborate closely with developers, business analysts, and product teams to ensure high-quality deliverables.

Work extensively on

Linux environments

to perform validation, log analysis, and system checks.

Develop and maintain

Shell scripts

for test automation, data validation, and environment setup.

Participate in test planning, estimation, and reporting activities.

Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives in testing processes and tools.

Required Skills & Experience :

5 to 7 years

of hands-on experience in

manual testing .

Strong working knowledge of

Linux commands and environments .

Proven experience in

Shell scripting

(bash, sh, etc.).

Solid understanding of SDLC and STLC.

Experience with defect tracking tools such as

JIRA, Bugzilla , or similar.

Ability to analyze logs, troubleshoot issues, and coordinate with cross-functional teams.

Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.

Good to Have :

Basic knowledge of automation tools (e.g., Selenium, Python scripting) would be an advantage.

Experience working in Agile / Scrum environments.
