Job description

Coforge is hiring Data Modeler for Greater Noida / Pune locations

Experience Range- 5- 10yrs

Notice Period- Immediate to 30 days only

The Data Modeler will be responsible for translating business requirements into conceptual, logical / canonical and physical data models. The Data Modeler will model ODS, Staging Area and Data Warehouse models for on-prem and cloud-base tech stack.

Responsibilities include :

  • Facilitate requirements elicitation and modeling sessions including use of interview, document analysis, workshops etc.
  • Collaborate with the architect and technical lead on the solution design
  • Model BI Solutions including operational data stores, Staging Areas and Normalized / Dimensional Data Warehouse
  • Participate in data definition and data management reviews
  • Define and design data integration interfaces
  • Work with the database administrator to create physical database designs
  • Provide guidance and partner with project management, development and QA teams by applying knowledge of database design
  • Assist with the development and enforcement of data modeling standards
  • Establish and maintain processes to support and grow data modeling practices

REQUIRED SKILLS

  • 3+ years of experience using data modeling tools such as Erwin or ER Studio, or Rational or other similar modeling tools
  • 5+ years of SQL experience
  • Strong knowledge of Relational and Dimensional data modeling concepts
  • An in-depth understanding of the Data Life Cycle, data modeling concept and principles
  • Must have an in-depth experience of at least one major cloud based DB Tech stack e.G. Postgres, Redshift, Azure SQL Server and so on.
  • Experience with storing metadata / data dictionaries within formal modeling tool
  • Strong Experience working on large volume databases
  • Experience working in complex projects with multi-tier architecture
  • Proficient in Data-Management concepts, practices and procedures
  • Working experience with at least one data integration technologies such as Glue, ADF, Python, Informatica, SSIS and so on.
  • Strong Business Acumen highly preferable
  • Demonstrated ability to influence critical business outcomes in a matrix based, global environment
  • Excellent communication skills in both formal and informal settings
  • Familiarity with Insurance domain preferred
