Position : Laboratory Assistant-School of Automobile & Mechatronics Engineering

Location : SSPU Kiwale , Pune , Maharashtra

Job Summary :

The Lab Assistant for Automobile and Mechatronics plays a crucial role in supporting the educational and research activities of the Automobile and Mechatronics departments. This position involves working with advanced automotive and mechatronic systems, including vehicles, sensors, robotics, control systems, and automated machinery. The assistant will support both practical training and research tasks related to the design, analysis, and testing of automotive systems and mechatronic technologies.

Key Responsibilities

Experimental Support : Aid students and faculty in conducting automotive and mechatronics experiments.

Testing & Data Collection : Support testing, collect data, and analyze results from vehicle and mechatronic system tests.

Troubleshooting : Diagnose and resolve issues with lab equipment, vehicles, and mechatronic systems.

Safety Protocols : Ensure adherence to safety guidelines and provide safety training.

Software & Programming Support : Assist with the setup and use of software for automotive diagnostics, embedded systems, and simulations.

Inventory Management : Monitor and manage lab supplies and order materials as needed.

Documentation : Maintain accurate records of experiments and contribute to technical reports.

Collaborative Research : Support faculty and students in automotive and mechatronics research projects.

Support : Provide technical assistance and address inquiries related to lab activities.

Qualifications :

  • Education : diploma / B.E / B.Tech in Automobile Engineering, Mechatronics Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related field.- Experience : Previous 5-7 years of experience in automotive repair, mechatronics labs, or technical support is highly desirable. Hands-on experience with vehicles, robotics, automation systems, or embedded systems is a plus.

Skills Required :

  • Knowledge of automotive systems (engines, electrical, vehicle dynamics).- Experience with mechatronic systems (robotics, sensors, actuators).- The role requires assistance in the EM, TOM, DOM, SOM labs for Auto, MTRX, Construction, and Diploma batches.- Must have knowledge of CAD / CATIA / modeling softwares preferable.
