Job Summary :
The Junior Technical Nutritionist will support the formulation, evaluation, and documentation of nutrition-based products such as dietary supplements, functional foods, and health formulations. This role involves applying nutritional science and technical knowledge to assist in product development, ensure regulatory compliance, and provide scientific support for marketing and clinical teams.
Key Responsibilities :
- Assist in formulation development of nutrition and health supplement products.
- Conduct literature reviews and gather scientific data to support ingredient selection and product claims.
- Support nutritional profiling, label development, and nutrient content validation.
- Collaborate with the R&D and quality teams to ensure formulations meet safety, efficacy, and regulatory standards.
- Prepare technical documents such as formulation sheets, product dossiers, and specifications.
- Assist in the evaluation of raw materials for nutritional value, stability, and suitability.
- Support regulatory submissions by providing accurate nutritional and scientific data.
- Provide technical support to marketing and sales teams on product benefits, formulations, and nutritional science.
- Stay updated with FSSAI, Codex, and other international nutrition regulations.
- Participate in product trials and assist in data analysis and report preparation.
Qualifications :
Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Nutrition Science, Food & Nutrition, Food Technology, Dietetics, Biochemistry, or a related discipline.0–2 years of experience in a technical nutrition, R&D, or product development role.Knowledge of FSSAI, USFDA, or EFSA nutrition labeling and compliance standards preferred.Basic understanding of nutrient metabolism, formulation science, and functional ingredients.Skills & Competencies :
Strong scientific and analytical mindset.Good understanding of macronutrients, micronutrients, and nutraceutical ingredients.Proficiency in MS Office, particularly Excel and PowerPoint.Attention to detail and accuracy in data handling.Excellent written and verbal communication skills.Ability to work effectively in cross-functional teams (R&D, QA, marketing, regulatory).
