Job summary
As a Software Engineer III at JPMorgan Chase within the Consumer and Community Banking Risk team, you will design and deliver reliable technology products that are secure, stable, and scalable. You will be tasked with implementing essential technology solutions across various technical domains to support the firm's business goals..
Job responsibilities
- Design, develop, and maintain highly scalable enterprise applications and microservices using Java and Spring Boot.
- Deploy and maintain cloud-based systems using AWS services such as ECS, RDS Aurora Postgres, Lambda, EMR, and S3.
- Execute software solutions, design, development, and technical troubleshooting to build solutions or break down technical problems.
- Create secure, high-quality production code and maintain algorithms that run synchronously with appropriate systems.
- Produce architecture and design artifacts for complex applications, ensuring design constraints are met by software code development.
- Proactively identify hidden problems and patterns in data to drive improvements to coding hygiene and system architecture.
- Contribute to software engineering communities of practice and events that explore new and emerging technologies.
Required qualifications, capabilities, and skills
Formal training or certification on software engineering concepts and 3+ years applied experienceHands-on practical experience in system design, application development, testing, and operational stability.Proficient in backend technology stack, including Java and Spring framework.Experienced in provisioning AWS infrastructure using Terraform.Experience with monitoring and observability tools such as Splunk and Dynatrace.Experience with testing frameworks such as JUnit, Mockito, or Cucumber.Experience in developing, debugging, and maintaining code in a large corporate environment with modern programming languages and database querying languages, including Postgres and Oracle.Preferred qualifications, capabilities, and skills
Previous hands-on experience with AWS cloud technologies.AWS Certified Developer Associate.Prior development experience in Python.Experience using Windsurf or Copilot with GenAI models for writing efficient code.
