Role Summary :
As Regional Sales Head for North India, you will drive achievement of our Annual Business Plan (ABP) by expanding distribution, visibility, and market share in the region.
Youll partner closely with Sales & Distribution teams and own end-to-end sales execution.
Key Responsibilities :
- Lead sales & distribution for North India, setting region-specific targets (brand-wise, pack-wise) aligned to ABP.
- Break down annual targets into geographic, monthly, weekly, and daily goals.
- Define and manage sales territories, coordinate field teams for optimal coverage.
- Drive channel-wise distribution strategies to boost visibility and volumes.
- Monitor market trends, competitor activity, and new opportunities.
- Conduct periodic business reviews (weekly, monthly, quarterly, annual).
- Collaborate with Finance to track top-line and profitability against budget.
- Focus on traditional channels while exploring digital / agri-tech distribution.
- Prepare and present sales performance reports to leadership.
Location & Travel :
Base : Head Office, Hyderabad.
Travel : 2 weeks / month in Hyderabad office | 2 weeks / month in North India field.
Experience & Education :
Work Experience : 15+ years in Sales, Distribution & Marketing preferably in Insurance (especially Agri), FMCG, or Banca channels.Domain Expertise : Agriculture insurance landscape and rural distribution models.Education : MBA from a premier institute.Skills & Competencies :
Proven track record leading large sales teams and meeting ambitious targets.Strong analytical data-warrior mindset; expert in Excel, PowerPoint, CRM analytics.Excellent stakeholder communication and cross-functional coordination.Solution-oriented, deadline-driven with high attention to detail.Multilingual proficiency : English, Hindi, plus one regional language.(ref : iimjobs.com)
