Job description

This role is for a Technical Manager with a strong background in database platforms on Azure Cloud , particularly within the healthcare domain . The ideal candidate will be a leader who can manage projects, design and optimize scalable database solutions, and mentor a team while ensuring compliance with healthcare regulations like HIPAA .

Key Responsibilities

Lead and manage database platform projects on Azure Cloud, ensuring alignment with healthcare industry standards and compliance.
Design, implement, and optimize scalable database solutions using Azure SQL Database, Azure Data Lake, and other Azure data services.
Oversee the development and deployment of data pipelines using Databricks and Informatica for ETL / ELT processes.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including data engineers, architects, and business stakeholders, to deliver high-quality healthcare data solutions.
Monitor and ensure database performance, security, and availability in a cloud environment.
Manage and mentor a team of database administrators and developers focused on Azure-based healthcare data platforms.
Ensure compliance with healthcare regulations such as HIPAA and other relevant data privacy standards.
Plan and execute cloud migration strategies for legacy healthcare databases to Azure.
Drive continuous improvement initiatives for data management, integration, and automation using modern Azure tools.
Provide technical guidance on best practices for data governance, backup, recovery, and disaster recovery planning.

Skills

Required Skills :

Strong experience with database platforms on Azure Cloud .

Extensive knowledge of the healthcare domain .

Exposure to Databricks and Informatica .

Expertise in designing and implementing scalable database solutions .

Proven ability to lead and manage projects and teams.

Strong understanding of database performance, security, and compliance (e.g., HIPAA).

Experience with cloud migration strategies and data governance.
