We are looking for a Deputy CTO to partner with our Chief Technology Officer in shaping the next phase of our technology vision. This role is ideal for a hands-on technologist with leadership potential who thrives at the intersection of engineering, architecture, and strategy. You'll play a pivotal role in guiding product innovation, scaling our platforms, and ensuring our technology stays ahead of the curve.

What You'll Do

Technology Strategy & Roadmap

Partner with the CTO to define and execute the long-term technology vision.

Translate business priorities into scalable, future-ready technical initiatives.

Engineering Leadership

Lead development teams in building high-performing, secure, and scalable applications.

Enforce engineering best practices across architecture, code quality, and delivery standards.

Innovation & Research

Continuously evaluate emerging technologies (AI / ML, blockchain, IoT, automation) to drive competitive advantage.

Recommend tools, frameworks, and approaches to enhance speed, reliability, and cost-effectiveness.

Architecture & Systems Design

Oversee architecture decisions for cloud-native platforms, microservices, APIs, and distributed systems.

Ensure reliability, performance, and resilience of mission-critical systems.

Collaboration & Stakeholder Engagement

Work closely with product, design, and business teams to align technology with user and market needs.

Communicate technical concepts clearly to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.

Team Building & Mentorship

Mentor engineers, encouraging ownership, learning, and innovation.

Support in resource planning, hiring, and fostering a collaborative culture.

Governance & Security

Ensure compliance with data security, privacy, and regulatory requirements.

Implement DevOps, CI / CD, and automation practices for operational excellence.

What You Bring

Experience : 4–8 years in software engineering, system architecture, or technology leadership roles.

Technical Depth : Proficiency in at least one of Java, Python, Go, or Node.js , with experience in cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP).

Architecture Expertise : Strong background in microservices, distributed systems, API design, and database architecture .

Engineering Operations : Experience with DevOps practices, CI / CD pipelines, automation, and monitoring tools .

Leadership Skills : Ability to mentor teams, influence decisions, and drive accountability in a high-growth environment.

Mindset : Problem solver with strong analytical skills, adaptability, and a collaborative approach.

Bonus Points For

Exposure to AI / ML, data engineering, or emerging technologies .

Startup or scale-up experience where you've built systems from the ground up.

A proven track record of scaling tech infrastructure in line with rapid business growth.
