The Production Manager will oversee the end-to-end manufacturing and packing operations at our facility. This role is pivotal in ensuring production targets are met with a focus on quality, safety, efficiency, and sustainability. The ideal candidate will bring strong leadership, process optimization skills, and experience in regulated manufacturing environmentspreferably within the beauty, personal care, or FMCG sectors.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead daily production and packaging operations to meet output, quality, and cost targets.
- Plan and execute production schedules in alignment with demand forecasts and inventory requirements.
- Ensure strict adherence to Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP), ISO standards, and regulatory compliance (e.g., FDA, BIS).
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives using Lean Manufacturing and Six Sigma methodologies.
- Implement and monitor KPIs for productivity, waste reduction, downtime, and efficiency.
- Manage and mentor a diverse team of supervisors, operators, and technicians, fostering a culture of safety, accountability, and inclusion.
- Coordinate with Quality Assurance, Maintenance, Supply Chain, and R&D teams to ensure smooth cross-functional operations.
- Maintain and report on daily / weekly / monthly production metrics to senior management.
- Champion environmental sustainability initiatives within production processes (e.g., water conservation, waste management, energy efficiency).
- Support the scale-up of new products and process validation in collaboration with the R&D team.
Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Chemical, Industrial Engineering, or a related field. A postgraduate qualification in operations or management is a plus.Minimum 10-15 years of relevant experience in production management, preferably in beauty, cosmetics, personal care, or FMCG manufacturing.Proven track record of managing teams and delivering operational excellence in high-volume manufacturing environments.Hands-on experience with ERP systems (e.g., SAP), production planning tools, and quality management systems.Strong understanding of GMP, ISO 22716, and other applicable regulatory requirements.Excellent leadership, organizational, and communication skills.Ability to work in a dynamic, multicultural, and fast-paced environment.Key Skills
