Job Description :

Coforge Ltd. is seeking a highly experienced and skilled AWS Data Engineer Lead to join our team in Pune. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of designing, building, and maintaining scalable and reliable data infrastructure and data products in complex enterprise environments. This is a senior-level role, typically suited for professionals who have served as technical leads on large-scale or multiple mid-sized data projects.

Key Responsibilities :

Lead the design and development of robust data pipelines and ETL processes using AWS services such as Glue , Athena , and Spark .

Architect and implement scalable data solutions that support business intelligence, analytics, and machine learning initiatives.

Work closely with cross-functional teams to understand data requirements and translate them into technical solutions.

Ensure data quality, integrity, and security across all data platforms.

Optimize performance of data systems and troubleshoot issues in production environments.

Document data architecture, workflows, and processes for internal and external stakeholders.

Mentor junior data engineers and contribute to best practices and standards.

Technical Skills Required : -

Cloud Platforms : Strong hands-on experience with AWS (Glue, Athena, S3, Lambda, etc.)

Big Data Technologies : Proficiency in Apache Spark , Databricks , and distributed data processing.

Databases : Experience with at least one RDBMS (e.g., PostgreSQL, MySQL, SQL Server).

Data Modeling : Expertise in 3NF (Third Normal Form) and Dimensional Data Modeling .

Programming Languages : Proficiency in SQL , Python , or Scala .

Version Control & CI / CD : Familiarity with Git, Jenkins, or similar tools is a plus.

Preferred Qualifications : -

Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field.

AWS certifications (e.g., AWS Certified Data Analytics – Specialty) are a strong advantage.

Experience working in Agile environments and using tools like Jira or Confluence.
