Job descriptionResponsible for all aspects of engineering activities and personnel within the Global IP & MPLS Engineering Centre related to WIFI, LAN & NAC service development activities with the objective of providing efficient, cost effective and differentiated network services and solution offered to customers and ensuring all engineering projects, initiatives, and processes under purview are in conformance with organization's policies, procedures, budgets, and objectives. Also responsible for product evaluation, solution designing and testing and roll out plan for existing and new services, including design of tools needed for operation of these new services and systems for performance and capacity management.Evaluate vendors for outsourcing requirements. May lead important projects as a team leader or individual contributor that require providing experienced project team members with instruction, guidance and advice in all aspects of the project to ensure delivery of quality outcomes. Responsible to lead / manage small teams for small projects.Capable of identifying key issues and priorities and focusing on these to deliver required results with minimal direction and supervision.Support the delivery & operation teams in new product implementations and troubleshooting the unique problems and ensure to train the teams with necessary knowledge to handle independently.Discuss requirements with Product groups, in conjunction with Sales teams, for complex requirements and provide inputs around feasibility of solution and solution alternatives. Mandatory Technical Skills Experience in Network Designing, Solutioning, Transformation, Engineering functions.Hands on experience in handling multi-vendor products and network gears like routers, switches, firewall, wireless controllers, access points, etc.Good knowledge on various OEMs SDN / SD-LAN / SD-Branch platforms & solutions. Good knowledge & Experience working in On-premise & Cloud managed WIFI platforms like Cisco Classic, Cisco Meraki, Juniper Mist, HPE Aruba, Fortinet etc..Good knowledge & Experience working in Cisco SD-Access solutions including DNAC, ISE, Fabric. Hands on experience and architecting experience in Network Access Control (NAC) products like Cisco ISE, Aruba ClearPass, Forescout, FortiNAC etc. (Worked as an SME for atleast one product)Knowledge on Data center technologies like ACI will be preferred Experience in Cisco Nexus switching and technologies around that is needed. Preferred Technical Skills Cloud architecture knowledge such as Azure, AWS, GCP will be added advantage. Routing protocols knowledge expected - BGP, OSPF Switching - Enterprise and Data Center switching technologies. Knowledge on QOS, Multicast in Enterprise and ISP networks. MPLS and VPN technologies (L3 / L2 VPN) understanding is good to have.Experience in handling / integration of network monitoring tools such as Solarwinds, Manage Engine, Zabbix, etc with ITSM services (Incident, Change, Problem Management, etc) for auto ticketing. Knowledge on automation tools / technologies such as Python, API, etc.
