Senior Guidewire Data Analyst

Experience : 10+ Years

Notice Period : Immediate / 30 Days

Role Overview :

We are looking for an experienced Senior Guidewire Data Analyst with deep expertise in Guidewire data models and hands-on experience in data mapping, extraction, transformation, and loading within enterprise Data Warehousing environments.

The role acts as a key liaison between customers, Guidewire Business Analysts, and the Data Warehouse team, ensuring accurate, efficient, and timely translation of business requirements into data solutions.

The ideal candidate will have in-depth knowledge of PolicyCenter (PC), BillingCenter (BC), and ClaimCenter (CC) data structures, strong SQL skills, and the ability to work in cloud-based data engineering environments.

Key Responsibilities :

Guidewire Data Expertise :

  • Utilize comprehensive knowledge of Guidewire data models (PC, BC, CC) to support data mapping, integration, and reporting.
  • Translate business requirements into technical data specifications, including entity relationships, schema mapping, and semantic layer design.
  • Assist in the design and validation of Guidewire-to-Data Warehouse ETL processes.

Data Warehousing & Integration :

  • Collaborate closely with Data Warehouse and BI teams to ensure seamless data flow, integration, and consistency.
  • Validate data pipelines and transformations, ensuring accuracy, completeness, and adherence to performance standards.
  • Provide technical input for ETL design, data lineage documentation, and semantic layer mapping.
  • SQL Development & Data Analysis :

  • Write, optimize, and maintain complex SQL queries, views, and stored procedures to support extraction, transformation, and reporting needs.
  • Analyze large datasets to identify patterns, anomalies, or gaps in data quality.
  • Support data reconciliation and validation during migration from legacy systems to Xcenters.
  • Customer & Stakeholder Engagement :

  • Interact with customers to gather and clarify data requirements, providing solutions aligned with business needs.
  • Serve as a bridge between Guidewire BAs, Data Warehouse, and Xcenter teams, ensuring effective communication and understanding of requirements.
  • Prepare and present technical reports, dashboards, and documentation for stakeholders.
  • Technical & Problem-Solving Responsibilities :

  • Troubleshoot and resolve data-related issues, including discrepancies, missing data, or integration failures.
  • Develop and maintain mapping documents, transformation rules, and semantic layer documentation.
  • Participate in performance tuning, query optimization, and workflow improvement initiatives.
  • Team Collaboration :

  • Work closely with cross-functional teams, including developers, BAs, QA, and infrastructure teams.
  • Mentor junior analysts on Guidewire data models, SQL best practices, and data warehousing principles.
  • Contribute to knowledge-sharing sessions and technical discussions across the organization.
  • Technical Skills & Expertise :

    Must-Have :

  • Deep expertise with Guidewire data models : PolicyCenter (PC), BillingCenter (BC), ClaimCenter (CC).
  • Strong proficiency in SQL, including complex joins, subqueries, window functions, and query optimization.
  • Hands-on experience with Data Warehousing concepts (ETL, OLAP, star / snowflake schemas, data lakes).
  • Experience in data mapping, semantic layer design, and integration between operational and analytical systems.
  • Ability to understand and troubleshoot data flows across Guidewire and Data Warehouse systems.
  • Strong understanding of business processes in insurance domains (policy, claims, billing).
  • Preferred / Advantageous Skills :

  • Experience with Xcenters, including migration from legacy Guidewire environments.
  • Familiarity with cloud data platforms : Azure, AWS, or GCP.
  • Experience with data engineering tools (Informatica, Talend, Databricks, or Snowflake).
  • Knowledge of BI tools (Tableau, Power BI, or Looker) and semantic layer modeling.
  • Experience in insurance domain analytics, compliance, and reporting standards.
  • Soft Skills :

  • Excellent communication skills to articulate technical data requirements to non-technical stakeholders.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  • Ability to prioritize tasks, work under pressure, and meet deadlines.
  • Proven experience in mentoring and collaborating with cross-functional teams.
  • Educational Qualification :

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field.
  • Certifications in Guidewire, Data Warehousing, or Cloud platforms are a plus.
