Role Description

This is a full-time, on-site role located in Kolkata for an Analyst - Geographic Information Systems (GIS). The position requires understanding both GIS / RS and driving the innovation to leverage local knowledge with global data sets. The role involves daily responsibilities such as conducting geographic data analysis, supporting systems and data integration, and troubleshooting GIS-related issues. The position requires working closely with a technical team and collaboratively with team members with diverse skill sets.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Remote Sensing, Geospatial Science, or a closely related discipline.
• Minimum of 1–3 years of progressive and relevant experience in Geographic Information Systems (GIS) and Remote Sensing (RS), specifically in applications related to forestry, agriculture, or land-use change analysis within developing countries.
• Additional academic or professional background in Computer Science, Engineering, Forestry, Geography, Agriculture, Geology or other relevant fields is highly desirable.
