Key Responsibilities
- Identify qualified language professionals (translators, subtitlers, voice artists, annotators, etc.) through job portals, forums, referrals, LinkedIn, and industry events.
- Design targeted outreach plans for specific project needs, including rare languages or niche domains.
- Vet linguists based on qualifications, experience, tools used, and rate compatibility.
- Coordinate complete onboarding, including document collection (CVs, NDAs, IDs, rate cards), vendor code creation, and ERP compliance.
- Liaise with QA for validation of samples or test assignments.
- Ensure all active vendors are contractually compliant and records are regularly updated.
- Negotiate rates with vendors to meet budget requirements without compromising on quality.
- Maintain up-to-date vendor records, including pricing, language pairs, domain tags, and availability status in the ERP.
- Audit and cleanse vendor data to prevent duplication, outdated profiles, or missing compliance.
- Respond to project / account manager resource requests within SLA timelines.
- Recommend suitable vendors based on cost, quality, and availability.
- Track and document vendor acceptance, rejection, performance feedback, and project history.
- Address vendor queries, clarifications, or concerns, escalating complex issues as needed.
- Prepare weekly and monthly sourcing and vendor performance reports.
- Contribute ideas for improving sourcing workflows, documentation templates, and internal processes.
Ideal Candidate Profile
Bachelor's degree in English, Linguistics, Mass Communication, HR, Business Administration, or related fields.1–2 years of experience in vendor coordination, recruitment, project coordination, or HR (preferably in LSP, IT, or BPO environments).Strong communication skills in English, both written and verbal.Familiarity with freelance contracts, cost benchmarking, and negotiation practices.Proficiency in Google Sheets / MS Excel and handling CRM or ERP systems.Ability to multitask effectively in high-volume and deadline-driven situations.Basic understanding of CAT tools, localization workflows, or language industry tools is a plus.Skills Required
