Research Associate- Mines & Metals

We are looking for :

MBA / Masters in Economics with knowledge of metals, mining & steel industry and relevant experience of 1-4 years.

Candidates with prior experience in policy / events and understanding of the mining / metals industry having understanding of steel, non-ferrous metals, cement & mining sectors are preferred

The scope of work requires a person with :

Knowledge on mining / metals industry having understanding of steel, non-ferrous metals, cement & mining sectors

Ability to interact with industry and governments

To understand the sector and conduct research along with report development, the candidate should have research bent of mind and be good at report / proposal development along with strong writing skills

Primary responsibility of managing communication to and between various stakeholders including the members of the committee, representatives of steel, non-ferrous & mining organizations and government dignitaries

Identifying industry specific issues for conversion into event platforms

Strong liasoning skills

Knowledge of how to conduct events

Strong media orientation and social media promotional skills

Principal Accountabilities :

Research (Primary and Secondary)

Ability to collect primary data, analyze secondary data. Develop reports, representations and knowledge outputs

Policy Advocacy

Develop policy briefs based on research and interaction with members

Making representations to the governments

Regular interaction with Committee members

Organizing Conferences / Outreach

Ability to conduct / organize events / seminars

Develop and organize workshops and other outreach programmes

Developing concept notes / backgrounders

Team – work

Cost Consciousness – (attitude to cost reduction and control in his area of work)

Work in co- ordination with others and understanding other’s viewpoint
