Job description7+ years of professional experience developing complex WordPress solutions. Proven track record of building custom themes from scratch and developing bespoke plugins to meet specific client requirements. Extensive experience with e-commerce platforms like WooCommerce. History of migrating websites between platforms and optimizing existing WordPress sites for speed and scale. A custom WordPress theme built from a complex HTML / CSS mockup, including a customizer for a client with a high-traffic e-commerce site. A bespoke plugin that integrates a third-party API for a unique data management system. An enterprise-level WordPress multisite network for a major corporation, handling thousands of users and multiple sub-sites. Performance optimization of a high-traffic blog, reducing load times by over 50% and improving Core Web Vitals scores.
Skills :
- Expertise in converting HTML / CSS / JS mockups into high-performance, responsive WordPress themes and plugins.
- Deep knowledge of the WordPress core API, including action and filter hooks, WP Query, and the REST API.
- Proficiency in PHP, MySQL, JavaScript (ES6+), and jQuery.
- Mastery of front-end development technologies : HTML5, CSS3, Sass / Less, and modern JavaScript frameworks (React / Vue).
- Experience with build tools like Webpack, Gulp, and npm.
- Expertise in version control systems, particularly Beanstalk and Git.
- Advanced understanding of performance optimization, including caching strategies, minification, and image optimization.
- Knowledge of accessibility standards (WCAG) and SEO best practices.
- Familiarity with server-side configurations (Apache / Nginx) and command-line tools.
- Proficiency in security best practices to protect against common vulnerabilities.
