Lead Release Train Engineer
Position Summary
- The Release Train Engineer (RTE) facilitates an Agile Release Train (ART) at the Program level and is responsible for program execution of the value stream, assist the team in the delivery of innovative software products, escalating impediments, managing risk, and helping drive continuous improvement for the ART.
- RTEs are responsible for facilitating ART events including Planning Increment (PI), PI execution events, tracking of progress, System Demos, and Inspect & Adapt. The RTE ensures mission execution, coaches at the ART and Team levels, and provides guidance in methodologies like Agile, Scrum, DevSecOps, and Kanban
Broad expectations from this role are as follows :
Hands-on expertise in driving Scaled Agile deliveries at ART level.Provide guidance, coaching and leadership to teams on driving SDLC.Work with product management and architects to confirm prioritized backlog for the product with functional and non-functional requirements (performance, security, high availability, scalability, disaster recovery etc.)Own end-to-end delivery of the product delivery (complete SDLC) from process perspective. Identify process gaps and either define new processes or improve existing processes to close the gap.Work with “we own a product” mindset and work for mindset shift of the team for the same.Experience :
12+ years of professional experience in software with at least 6+ years as Scaled Agile Scrum Master and at least 2+ years as RTE.Extensive knowledge of product development and software development methodologiesEssential Duties and Responsibilities
