Role Overview
KR Mangalam School, Bahadurgarh, is establishing a cutting-edge Maker’s Lab to foster innovation, creativity, and hands-on learning among students. We are seeking a passionate and skilled professional with strong practical experience in Arduino, 3D printing, prototyping, electronics, and maker technologies to run and expand this space.
The Maker’s Lab In-Charge will guide students in projects, maintain equipment, introduce new technologies, and collaborate with teachers to integrate maker-based learning into the curriculum.
Key Responsibilities
- Lab Management & Operations
- Oversee daily functioning of the Maker’s Lab and ensure all equipment is well-maintained and safe.
- Procure, install, and maintain maker tools and consumables (Arduino kits, sensors, 3D printers, laser cutters, etc.).
- Ensure adherence to safety protocols.
- Teaching & Mentorship
- Conduct hands-on workshops and training sessions for students (grades 3–12).
- Mentor students in designing, building, and prototyping projects using Arduino, Raspberry Pi, 3D printing, and robotics.
- Support participation in competitions, hackathons, and exhibitions.
- Curriculum & Collaboration
- Work with teachers to integrate Maker Lab activities into STEM and interdisciplinary subjects.
- Develop structured modules and project-based learning pathways aligned with school goals.
- Inspire creativity, problem-solving, and design-thinking skills.
- Innovation & Outreach
- Keep up-to-date with emerging maker technologies and introduce them to the lab.
- Organize exhibitions, maker fairs, and showcases for student projects.
- Act as a mentor for innovation-driven clubs and initiatives.
Qualifications & Skills
Education : Bachelor’s degree in Engineering / Design / Science (preferred : Electronics, Robotics, Mechanical, or related field). Diploma holders with strong practical expertise are welcome.Experience :Minimum 2–3 years of hands-on experience in Arduino, prototyping, 3D printing, robotics, or electronics projects .Prior teaching, mentoring, or lab management experience is desirable.Technical Skills :Proficiency with Arduino IDE, sensors, and micro controllers.Practical expertise in 3D printing (model preparation, slicing software, troubleshooting).Knowledge of fabrication tools, woodworking, or laser cutting is a plus.Familiarity with design-thinking and project-based learning pedagogy.Soft Skills :Strong communication and mentoring ability with school-age students.Creativity, patience, and enthusiasm for hands-on learning.Organizational and collaborative mindset.
