MongoDB is looking for a Procurement Manager - Purchasing Operations to support our growing company's needs. This role requires a strategic thinker, but also someone who is prepared to "roll up their sleeves." It also requires interaction across the organization, globally. The right candidate will be a builder with strong analytical, process development and communication skills. This position will work on the Procurement Team and will be responsible for establishing and managing our new Purchasing team in India. You will manage a team responsible for intake, data management, and handling contracts under $50k with high volume and accuracy requirements. This role is based in the Gurgaon office and will be reporting to the Director of Procurement who is based in New York. Key Responsibilities :
- Build and manage our new Purchasing team in India, responsible for procurement intake, data management, and processing contracts under $50k with high volume requirements
- Establish comprehensive processes and documentation for the Purchasing function, ensuring scalability and consistency as the team grows
- Ensure all procurement activities maintain compliance with company policies, legal requirements, and vendor standards across high-volume transactions
- Develop and implement quality control measures to maintain data accuracy and process efficiency within the purchasing workflow
- Work cross-functionally throughout the organization with stakeholders to streamline procurement intake and ensure seamless handoffs between Purchasing and Procurement teams
- Create training materials and standard operating procedures to support team development and maintain operational excellence
- Collaborate to align processes and leverage best practices across categories
- Once the Purchasing team is established, potential to expand responsibilities to manage select corporate services categories such as Legal, HR, Facilities, Workplace Services, Real Estate, and other categories as assigned

Bachelor's Degree or MBA / Masters7+ years of experience in procurement operations, with demonstrated experience in process establishment and team buildingPrior management experience with high-volume, transactional procurement environmentsStrong experience in developing processes, documentation, and standard operating procedures from the ground upProven ability to ensure compliance and accuracy in fast-paced, high-volume environmentsExperience with procurement systems and data management (Coupa experience preferred)Strong organizational and project management skillsHighly articulate with excellent verbal and written communication skillsThink creatively, are highly driven, and skilled at creating structure in situations that are uncertain or ambiguous within a rapidly growing businessDemonstrated ability to roll up your sleeves and work hands-on while building and leading a teamExperience with corporate services categories (such as Legal, HR, Facilities, Workplace Services, Real Estate) preferred but not requiredTo drive the personal growth and business impact of our employees, we're committed to developing a supportive and enriching culture for everyone.
