Job Description

As a

Windows System Administrator , you will be responsible for managing, maintaining, and supporting mission-critical

Windows infrastructure

in enterprise environments. You will also lead or support project activities such as upgrades, patch rollouts, system migrations, and implementing security policies—requiring a blend of

technical expertise and project management capabilities .

️ Key Responsibilities

Install, configure, and manage

Windows Server 2016 / 2019 / 2022

Administer and troubleshoot

Active Directory ,

Group Policy ,

DNS , and

DHCP

Perform

patch management ,

system monitoring , and

performance tuning

Manage

disaster recovery plans ,

data backups , and

system security protocols

Automate administrative tasks using

PowerShell scripting

Coordinate

server upgrades ,

security hardening , and

infrastructure rollouts

Collaborate with network, cloud, and DevOps teams for project execution

Maintain documentation for configurations, change logs, and incident resolutions

Apply

basic project management skills

(task planning, stakeholder communication, scheduling)

Ensure compliance with IT policies, standards, and audit requirements

  • Mandatory Skills

5–8 years of hands-on experience in

Windows Server Administration

Strong experience in

Active Directory ,

Group Policy , DNS / DHCP

Proficiency in

PowerShell

scripting for automation

Experience in patch management, system upgrades, and backup solutions

Knowledge of

VMware

or

Hyper-V

for virtualization

Understanding of

ITIL , service desk tools (e.g., ServiceNow), and change management

Strong communication and incident documentation skills

Preferred Skills

Microsoft certifications ( MCSA ,

MCSE ,

Azure Administrator Associate )

Experience with

Azure AD ,

Office 365 , hybrid cloud environments

Exposure to

security and compliance

standards (e.g., ISO 27001, NIST, GDPR)

Familiarity with project / task tracking tools like

Jira ,

MS Project , or Confluence

Soft Skills

Strong problem-solving skills and root cause analysis capabilities

Ability to prioritize tasks and manage time under pressure

Independent and self-motivated approach to resolving issues

Ability to communicate technical issues to non-technical stakeholders
