Senior Operations Engineer (Microsoft Infrastructure & Azure)

Position : Senior Operations Engineer (Microsoft Infrastructure & Azure Services)

Location : India (Remote) - Support Melbourne (AUS) based customers

Industry : IT Managed Services (MSP)

Type : Full-Time (5 working days per week in a 24×7 roster)

We are hiring a Senior Operations Engineer to support our global customers in a fast-paced MSP environment. This role requires strong Microsoft Infrastructure experience, Azure expertise, and the ability to own L3 escalations and critical incidents.

Responsibilities

Provide L3-level support for Microsoft Infrastructure (AD, DNS,

DHCP, Windows Server).

Manage Azure IaaS (VMs, storage, networking, identity).

Troubleshoot and resolve incidents, perform RCA and problem

management.

Manage hybrid identity (Azure AD Connect / Microsoft Entra ID

Connect).

Automate tasks using PowerShell.

Collaborate with the Service Desk, Onsite Engineers, and Account

Teams.

Participate in on-call / after-hours support roster.

Maintain documentation, SOPs, knowledge base articles, and CMDB

updates.

Required Skills

5–10 years in IT infrastructure roles.

Hands-on L3 experience in Microsoft ecosystems.

Strong Azure IaaS experience.

Hands-on experience with Microsoft PowerShell to enable automation and management Microsoft Infrastructure.

PowerShell scripting and automation capability.

Experience with RMM / monitoring tools (N-central, Intune, Azure

Monitor).

Strong customer communication & stakeholder management.

Experience working in MSP environments preferred.

Education & Certifications

Bachelor's degree in IT, Computer Science, or equivalent.

Mandatory : ITIL v4 Foundation.

Mandatory : Microsoft Azure Certification (AZ-104 or

AZ-305).

Preferred : Security certifications (AZ-500 / Security+).

Work Model & Shifts

This is a remote full-time role, operating in a 24×7 roster.

5 working days / week (Monday–Sunday rotation)

42 hours per week

Occasional after-hours work required (major incidents)

Shift Rotation (India Time) :

06 : 00 AM – 14 : 00 PM

14 : 00 PM – 22 : 00 PM

22 : 00 PM – 06 : 00 AM

Typically, one month of night shifts every four months.

Compensation & Perks

CTC : ₹ 20,50,000 – ₹25,50,000 per annum

Night Shift Allowance : ₹300 per shift (for 22 : 00–06 : 00)
