The Ab Initio Data Engineer will be responsible for developing, maintaining, and optimizing ETL pipelines and data workflows for the SBC Collection Project, which manages delinquent accounts, third-party outsourcing, and recovery analytics. The role requires deep technical expertise in Ab Initio development, debugging, and performance tuning within large-scale data warehouse environments.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and enhance Ab Initio ETL workflows for data extraction, transformation, and loading across collection and recovery systems.
• Debug and optimize existing Ab Initio code for performance and efficiency.
• Collaborate with business teams to understand data requirements and translate them into technical solutions.
• Maintain data quality, integrity, and accuracy across ETL processes.
• Work with cross-functional teams to integrate Ab Initio workflows with AWS-based data products and reporting frameworks.
• Participate in design reviews, peer code reviews, and deployment activities.
• Ensure adherence to best practices in data engineering, CI / CD, and release management.
• Identify automation opportunities and drive continuous improvement initiatives.
