Role Description
- Reporting, Documentation & Collaboration :
- Maintain comprehensive CRM records including all client interactions, proposals sent, and pipeline status
- Prepare weekly and monthly sales reports with detailed metrics, insights, and forecasts
- Track KPIs including number of bids, response rate, conversion ratio, average deal size, sales cycle length, and revenue generated
- Document winning proposal templates, objection handling scripts, and best practices for team knowledge sharing
- Collaborate with technical teams to ensure proposal feasibility and accurate scoping
- Provide market intelligence, competitive insights, and feedback on service offerings and pricing
- Participate in sales strategy meetings and contribute to go-to-market planning
Qualifications Required
Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Computer Science, Engineering, or related field preferredMinimum 2.5 years, preferably 4+ years of proven experience in IT sales, software services sales, or technology consulting salesDemonstrated track record of successful Upwork bidding with verifiable metrics (conversion rates, revenue generated, deals closed)Experience selling IT services such as software development, web / mobile app development, cloud solutions, AI / ML, or digital transformation projectsProven ability to consistently meet or exceed sales quotas and revenue targetsExperience managing international clients, particularly from North American and European marketsTechnical Knowledge :Deep understanding of Upwork platform mechanics, policies, Connect pricing, and best practices for winning bidsStrong knowledge of IT services landscape including software development methodologies (Agile, Scrum), technology stacks (MEAN, MERN, Python, Java, .NET, cloud platforms), and digital servicesFamiliarity with CRM tools (HubSpot, Salesforce, Pipedrive, Zoho CRM) and sales automation toolsProficiency with business communication platforms (Zoom, Microsoft Teams, Slack, Google Meet)Sales & Communication Skills :Exceptional written English communication with ability to craft persuasive, error-free proposals and emailsStrong verbal communication skills for conducting professional discovery calls, presentations, and negotiationsProven ability to understand complex technical requirements and translate them into compelling business proposalsConsultative selling approach with focus on solution-based selling rather than transactional salesStrong negotiation, persuasion, and objection-handling capabilitiesActive listening skills to uncover client pain points and hidden requirementsPersonal Attributes & Soft Skills :Self-motivated and goal-oriented with strong intrinsic drive to achieve and exceed targetsResilient and persistent with ability to handle rejection and maintain positive attitudeExcellent time management and organizational skills with ability to manage multiple opportunities simultaneouslyHigh attention to detail in proposal writing, contract review, and documentationCultural sensitivity and adaptability for communicating with diverse international clientsProactive problem-solver with entrepreneurial mindsetAbility to work independently with minimal supervision while collaborating effectively with cross-functional teamsWillingness to work flexible hours to accommodate international client time zones (US / Europe business hours)What We Offer
