We have a requirement for Vendor Quality Assurance Executive for Isha Life, Coimbatore.
This role ensures that all suppliers meet the company’s quality, safety, and compliance standards. The position involves evaluating vendors, managing quality documentation, coordinating material testing, and supporting cross-functional teams to maintain high-quality supply standards.
🧭 Vendor Evaluation & Qualification
- Identify, evaluate, and qualify new vendors based on quality, safety, and compliance standards.
- Conduct on-site and remote audits of suppliers to assess GMP, HACCP, FSSAI, ISO, and other regulatory compliances.
- Maintain a robust supplier approval and re-evaluation system.
📄 Documentation & Quality Systems
Review and manage supplier documentation such as COA, MSDS, specifications, and process flows.Ensure traceability and authenticity of ingredients, especially botanicals and Ayurvedic actives.Maintain vendor quality agreements and NDAs as required.Material Inspection & Testing Coordination
Coordinate sampling and testing of incoming raw materials and packaging components.Validate supplier COAs through third-party or internal laboratory results.Ensure compliance of functional ingredients with nutritional and therapeutic claims.🧾 Compliance Management
Ensure adherence to FSSAI, Ayush, ISO 22000, USFDA (for export), and other applicable regulatory frameworks.Assist regulatory teams with audits, documentation, and licenses related to vendor materials.Monitor banned substances, pesticide residues, heavy metals, and allergensNon-Conformance & CAPA
Investigate quality deviations or complaints related to vendor materials.Initiate and monitor Corrective and Preventive Actions (CAPA) with suppliers.Maintain records of quality incidents and their resolutions.🤝 Internal Collaboration
Collaborate with Procurement, R&D, NPD, Production, and QA / QC teams.Support R&D in sourcing quality-verified ingredients for product development.Participate in cross-functional teams for cost-saving and quality improvement initiatives.Qualifications :
Bachelor’s degree in Food Technology, Biotechnology, Pharmacy, or related field.3–6 years of experience in Vendor Quality, QA / QC, or Regulatory Compliance (preferably in Food, Nutraceutical, or Ayurveda industry).Strong understanding of GMP, HACCP, FSSAI, and ISO systems.Excellent communication, documentation, and audit skills.Interested candidates please forward your resume.
