Role Overview
We are looking for a motivated and student-focused Academic Counsellor to guide learners in making informed academic and career choices. The role requires a balance of counselling, communication, and sales skills to support students in their academic journey, promote programs effectively, and achieve enrolment goals.
Key Responsibilities
1. Student Counselling
- Provide academic and career guidance to students and parents.
- Assess students’ performance, interests, and aspirations to suggest suitable pathways.
- Clarify course requirements, learning outcomes, and career prospects.
2. Program Guidance
Explain program structures, curriculum details, and benefits clearly.Stay updated on industry trends, educational policies, and new program developments.3. Follow-Up & Conversion
Engage regularly with prospective students and parents through calls, emails, and in-person meetings.Support applicants with documentation and ensure smooth completion of enrolment processes.4. Target Achievement
Meet monthly and quarterly enrolment and revenue targets.Develop strategies to increase enrolments and achieve organizational goals.5. Collaboration
Coordinate with faculty, admissions, and marketing teams for seamless counselling and enrolment.Represent the institution in webinars, seminars, and workshops to promote academic programs.6. Record Management
Maintain accurate records of inquiries, counselling sessions, and enrolments.Prepare and share periodic reports on counselling effectiveness and conversion rates.Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in any discipline (mandatory).Background in education, counselling, or sales is an advantage.Experience
Prior experience in academic counselling, telesales, or education-related roles preferred (not mandatory).Key Skills
