Location : Kerala (Remote)

Employment Type : Full-time – working directly with a UK-based company via Extended Teams

Working Hours : UK time, Monday to Friday (flexibility required)

Minimum Experience : 3 years

About the Role

We’re looking for an experienced Infrastructure Engineer to join a UK-based company through Extended Teams . In this hands-on role, you’ll be responsible for maintaining and improving IT infrastructure across multiple global locations (UK, UAE, and Bangladesh). You’ll deliver technical support, implement infrastructure projects, and ensure system reliability across servers, networks, and user environments.

This role suits someone who enjoys problem-solving, works independently, and takes ownership from issue to resolution.

Key Responsibilities

  • Deliver 1st, 2nd, and 3rd Line IT Support to end users and internal systems.
  • Monitor and maintain servers, networks, and system performance .
  • Handle support tickets through the Service Desk and ensure timely resolution.
  • Provide remote and on-site IT support (where required).
  • Create and maintain SOPs (Standard Operating Procedures) for IT processes.
  • Lead incident and problem management , including trend and root cause analysis.
  • Manage and implement IT infrastructure projects and change requests .
  • Support and maintain backup systems , virtualisation , and VOIP telephony .
  • Manage Active Directory, Group Policy, DNS, DHCP , and related services.
  • Build and maintain strong client and internal stakeholder relationships .
  • Identify skill gaps and training needs within the support team.

Skills & Experience Required

  • Minimum 3 years of hands-on experience in infrastructure support or similar role.
  • Strong exposure to 1st, 2nd, and 3rd Line IT Support .
  • Experience working in a Service Desk environment .
  • Excellent troubleshooting and analytical skills.
  • In-depth knowledge of :
  • Windows OS (7 onwards) and Windows Server (2012 onwards)
  • Microsoft 365 deployment and management
  • Active Directory , Group Policy , DHCP , DNS , Sites & Services
  • Networking principles , including routers, switches, and Wi-Fi configuration
  • Backup technologies (Veeam, Acronis, etc.)
  • Virtualisation (Hyper-V, VMware, Citrix)
  • VOIP Telephony systems
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Strong customer service orientation and teamwork mindset.
  • Proven ability to work independently and handle pressure.
  • Leadership qualities to motivate and guide junior team members.
