Functions
Client Relations / Account Direction
1. Understand how SEO fits into the client's specific business, which products and services are the most profitable, and the best geographic areas to target.
a. Example : understands that a roofer does roof repairs and installation, and knows for each client whether they do both commercial and residential roofs, what the most profitable services and geos are. Can direct the account accordingly.
2. Meets with clients every quarter to understand above from them, and communicate how our actions and strategies address and help the client's business be successful.
3. Takes notes from client meetings and puts them into project management software for execution.
4. Explains SEO concepts thoroughly and in simple terms that clients can understand.
5. Translates client feedback into our Content Calendar so content team can execute on GBP and blog posts
Project Management
1. Follows up with clients to secure items needed to move the account forward
a. Approvals needed to post blogs and GBP posts that need approval.
b. Secures access to GBP, website credentials, Google Analytics and other logins needed
Execution and Deliverables
1. Troubleshoot technical SEO issues, like plugins that interfere with our SEO plugin, and direct issues to the right team.
2. Implement Schema code for local business, product and service pages
3. Google Analytic / Search Console, and Tag Manager setup and implementation of conversion tracking
4. Send out monthly reporting with brief, simple data story so clients understand
5. Send client updates when work has been done on their account
6. Handle technical errors, error / fix tracking within tracking platforms and on website. Fix indexation and robots.txt problems
7. Conduct on-page optimization, content formatting, meta tag implementation, content updates
8. Knowledge of best practice in website UI / UX, including conversion optimization and accessibility. Can raise tickets to address these on websites and conduct fixes when necessary.
9. Develop and implement link-building program to gain relevant links beneficial to clients.
